Sinead O’Connor accepts she is irregular. The Irish singer songwriter rose to fame with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra but gained worldwide success with her rendition of Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U” reveals that she indeed tried to be ordinary, as everyone knows there is a certain way you have to be from the minute you are born, but that wasn’t for her, she wanted to her own individual. At forty seven years old, the star has finally accepted to love herself n matter what, she believes that this new found attitude comes thing from her. She told Billboard magazine:
”I gave being a ‘regular’ woman a good few tries.
”There is pressure to be a ‘regular’ woman from the minute you’re born, so I was duty-bound to try. But I’m ‘irregular.’ I don’t try not to be irregular anymore.” from her maturity as she has more experience of life.
She said:
”I have learned to love myself unconditionally. When people used to say that thing to me about ‘You have to love yourself before you can love anybody,’ I had no idea what they were talking about.
”But I’ll be 48 in December, and I think that as you get older, it becomes obvious. Sometimes we have to find out by f***ing up. You know what I mean?”
